Celtic Woman

On Friday, I took the evening off from Massage Envy in order for Kevin and I to go the Celtic Woman concert from their Isle of Hope tour at the Sprint Center. It was a great concert...they were absolutely amazing. The violionist was especially impressive...not only the way she played the violin but as she played she danced! I don't know how she kept so coordinated and never missed a beat with her feet or the violin! I know...I know...you're asking where are the pictures???? Stephanie always has her camera with her! Well....my only beef with Celtic Woman was they did not allow cameras at their concert!! Seriously....I understand no video recording and whatnot but to ban regular cameras is not cool!! So these are pics from their website for those of you who are not familiar with the group.

Saturday, my good friend, Melissa (in the blue shirt), celebrated her 28th birthday! She had some friends over to her house for food and drinks! It was a fun time...even though they made me do a jagerbomb with them!!! It was good to see them and catch up...these are the same crazy girls I will be spending time with down at the Lake of the Ozarks in July. Can't wait!!!

"Commerce Day at the K"

Commerce Bank sponsored "Commerce Day at the K" for all employees on Saturday, June 20th. It was a Royals - Cardinals game in which the Royals lost big time but we still managed to have fun anyway!!! The fun started at 1:00pm, with a special Commerce tent that had catered food from Brancato's barbeque. It was really good....especially the brisket. It poured down rain the entire time we were in the tent. After eating way too much food....especially the chocolate brownies that were too die for....we headed over to the stadium. The game was supposed to start at 3:10pm but there was of course, a RAIN DELAY. The game didn't get started until almost 5pm. We, of course, waited it out. A lot of people left but not us!...we saw it through. It finally cleared up and the game was underway. This was the first time we had been to the stadium since all of the renovations were completed. I do have to say I was impressed. The only thing I was NOT happy about was the fact there is no more Dippin Dots ice cream!!! This almost ruined the gaming experience for me. I had to suck it up and settle for Sheridan's Frozen Custard...not the same. My friend, Theresa, and I had sent in for tickets at the same time and we were ecstatic when Commerce put our seats together!! :):) We thoroughly enjoyed our time with the Green family and hope to do it again!!!

Matt entertained us by doing his best Stevie Wonder impression. We were all hysterical.

Finally...removing the tarp.
Let's play ball....the first pitch!

Vacation/Work

Kevin has the week off from work. He took a week of vacation. He has been swamped at work recently and desperately needed a break. He was able to wrap up some of his marketing promotions and campaigns and squeeze in a week of vacation!!! Of course, I have that "Honey Do" list for him....that should keep him busy! Ha Ha Ha

So while Kevin is relaxin' on vacation think of me hard at work!!!

P.S. Don't feel too sorry for me as I am taking a week of vacation in July in which Kevin will still be working!!! :):)

The Chronicles of Narnia Exhibit

The Chronicles of Narnia Exhibit is at Union Station this summer so of course, Kevin wanted to go check it out. I do have to admit it was pretty cool. We got to see original costumes and props from the movies (The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and Prince Caspian) and got to learn more about the author of the series, C.S. Lewis. You weren't allowed to take pictures inside the exhibit but I was able to grab a few shots outside before we went in.

Dilyne was in town for the part of the week, so I made my way over to Derick's Thursday night to see them. Unfortunately, I had to work Friday night so I was not able to see Taylor when she got here but I was thankful for at least getting to see Dilyne.

Derick made a wonderful dinner consisting of lasagna, salad, green beans, mozarella bread, and a delicious cherry delight for dessert!! It was delicious!!
Dilyne sporting the "Hollywood Bump-it". She was gracious enough to let me try one on and show me how to use it....I'm still debating on whether I should invest in one. I mean, seriously....my prom days and sorority formal days are over!!!
